Many people watch “American Ninja Warrior” and think they could never achieve what the dedicated athletes conquer on the difficult obstacle course. While the feats may seem impossible for adults, kids are able to fling themselves around on playgrounds with such ease that they’re almost like miniature ninja warriors already. To capture the fun of being a kid and the ambition of training like an athlete, Austin mom Jennifer Halla will soon open up her American Ninja Warrior-style gym for children.

“I see kids at the parks when I’m there and they’re trying to make courses out of playground equipment, so they already have the interest and passion for doing this sort of thing,” Halla told KXAN. She was particularly inspired after visiting Chicago and letting her kids play at a Ninja-style gym there.

According to the Austin Ninjas website, starting in 2018, they will hold classes and have open gym times Monday through Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, the facility can be reserved for birthday parties. In the video below by American Gymnast, you can get a sneak peek at how the gym will look and which obstacles will be available for kids to conquer. Check their Facebook page for updates.
