Do you enjoy a taste of adventure alongside a sensory experience to be remembered? Tillie’s at Camp Lucy, outside of Dripping Springs is the perfect option. A beautifully scenic drive from any direction, the aesthetics do not end once the vehicle is parked. The front of the restaurant boasts a glassed fireplace with blanketed seating. Inside, a chic reception area gives way, via giant turquoise wooden doors, to an amazing dining space, punctuated with ornately carved wood, wall niches, and soothing green-toned details.

Tillie’s great-grandson named the restaurant after the clan’s world traveler, Attilia Aldridge Anderson Hancock. Credited for contributions to Austin, such as bringing golf from Scotland and being the city’s first female developer, Tillie’s innovative essence continues through delectable comestibles described as “American Nouveau,” a culinary concept which borrows practices and traditions from cultures across the globe. Officially opened on October 1, 2018, the establishment hasn’t stopped getting rave reviews.

The menus at Tillie’s are ever-morphing in accordance with seasonal flora and fauna. It’s wise to expect the best kind of unexpected from Executive Chef Brandon Martin. Recently sampled items included Smoked Shrimp Hushpuppies and Salt & Pepper Texas Quail for appetizers, with a delightfully sweet, smoky drink called La Vida Dorada. Main course delicacies comprised of Snapper, Tagliatelle, Peach-Soy Glazed Pork Belly, and Mole Negro Chicken. Sharing bites is an irresistible treat here!

Some dining options include brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner Sundays through Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The staff and service is impeccable, special thanks to Rob for his truly intuitive skills.
