This Amusement Park Allows Kids to Operate Heavy Machinery

Diggerland USA is 14-acre theme park that has a unique focus – heavy machinery. At this amusement park, children can get behind the controls to drive and dig with actual machines! According to their website, “Guests who visit Diggerland can drive full-size backhoes, dig giant holes with real excavators, and operate just about every sort of construction machine you might imagine – from the skid-steers to the recently unveiled ARGOs, made famous by their amphibious qualities.”

Similar to many major theme parks, there are various other attractions as well. Diggerland USA has an arcade, rope courses, a rock wall, and live performances that highlight the abilities of the machinery. Of course, their gift store is themed as well. It’s full of bright plastic trucks, hard hats, and adorable rain boots. And for parents who have always wondered what it’s like to man a big machine, there is an adult section as well!

Unfortunately, the park is located rather far from Texas. (It’s in West Berlin, New Jersey.) But we can live vicariously through visitors in a recently uploaded Facebook video from Fatherly. The video already has over 72 million views and 12,000 “wow” reactions.
