Detective Manages to Wrangle a 9-Foot Anaconda With No Tools and No Help
Have you ever seen anyone calmly pick up an anaconda and zip it up in a duffle bag? It’s as impressive as it sounds, and it’s exactly what Detective Emily Shaw did in a video uploaded on Facebook by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.
The 2.5-minute video featuring Detective Shaw picking up a 9-foot yellow anaconda by its tail and managing to get it to slither inside of a bag has gone viral across news stations. The clip, as seen below, has hilarious audio as well since Detective Shaw is cheered on by the cameraman who has no intention of getting any closer to the snake than he needs to.
According to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Detective Shaw was responding to a call of a huge snake sighting, and since she has experience with exotic snakes, she was fearless in taking care of the problem in her nice work clothes. Leon County added, “We believe this was someone’s pet that either escaped or was released. If you own an exotic pet- please be responsible. Make sure their cages are completely secure and if you decide you no longer want it, DO NOT release it into the wild.”
