In 2004, Anthony Bourdain filmed a segment at Burns Original BBQ for “Parts Unknown”. This weekend, he turned to tape another.

On Friday, June 10, Anthony Bourdain and his crew for “Parts Unknown” headed to Houston’s iconic Burns Original BBQ and spent some time there for lunch. As the Houston Chronicle reported, Bourdain sat down with Houston rapper Slim Thug, Roderick Dearborne, and David Stunts to discuss topics all things Houston, from the recent flooding to the customized cars trolling the streets.

They sat for about an hour and a half on the patio as crowds gathered to catch a glimpse at the famous chef and host who will never turn down a challenge. On their shared table was “brisket, ribs, links, and Friday’s loaded baked potato special.”

As Cory Crawford, co-owner of Burns, told the Houston Chronicle, “It’s good he came back to see a second and third generation” since Bourdain filmed a segment for his show in 2004 when founder Roy Burns Sr., was still alive.
