Scheduled for Sunday, November 10, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Austin Mac & Cheese Festival is one of the most popular food festivals in the Texas Hill Country. This entire festival dedicated to one of America’s favorite comfort foods is now in its fourth year and promises to be bigger and better than past events. Tickets have already been on sale for a while, but that doesn’t mean you’ll miss out on this most cheese-worthy event. Visitors can get passes at the gate, at Carson Creek Ranch, and make their way through a delicious array of mac and cheese samples.
Following the November Texas hosting of this event, the popular food festival will be taking to the road to go nationwide. The Austin Mac & Cheese Festival will feature dozens of vendors from area chefs, restaurants, and food trucks, going toe-to-toe in competition for the winning dish. Festival-goers will vote for their favorite by leaving a token at that particular booth. The one that winds up with the most tokens will be the winner!

Although the video above from the YouTube channel for The Cooking Foodie shows a quick and easy way to make this dish on your own, the Austin Mac & Cheese Festival boasts vendors who know a thing or two about creating the perfect product just for you. Those who like a creamy texture and sensation throughout the entire dish will be pleasantly surprised to find a number of vendors who’ll agree with you. Likewise, those who want a crispy top crust with a gooey, cheesy consistency beneath, also won’t leave this event disappointed. In addition to the standard dishes you’re probably already anticipating, there’s also going to be foods that complement this dish or that are derived directly from it, such as fried mac and cheese balls and so much more! The Austin Mac & Cheese Festival will also be serving adult drinks as well as non-alcoholic options. If you can’t make it out to this event, don’t fret! The festival is headed to its Dallas location in April of 2020! For more information, check out the festival’s website.
