Cute Baby Sloth Born at the Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo

KHOU writes that the Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo located along I -35 in New Braunfels welcomed a new member of their animal family last month. An adorable baby sloth was born to their resident sloth couple Sid and Sylvia. It’s very rare to have a successful birth from two captive sloths. “The birth, however, now indicates a massive success in providing the exact environment required for a healthy life in captivity and even encourages the natural reproductive behavior,” the news writes.

On their Facebook page, Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo writes that they’re holding a contest to name their new little sloth. “The commenter who receives the most likes will win a 4 pack of admission ticks. The winner will be announced on December 22nd!” they explain. For unknown reasons, the post has received a ton of attention with people commenting the name “Jeff.” It appears to be a callback to the old “My Name is Jeff” meme that spread through the internet three years ago due to a scene in “22 Jump Street.” Scroll through hundreds of “Jeff” comments sprinkled with other names here.
