Longtime Marfa resident, Tim Crowley, is the owner of Hotel St. George, with its sheepskin rugs, and new outdoor Bar Nadar, which features a sparkling turquoise pool and space to relax in what seems like your very own oasis. In an interview with Southern Living, Crowley noted, “In the desert, water is precious and Bar Nadar offers the best swimming option for miles. There are plenty of folks in Marfa with incredible taste and love for music of all kinds and some top-notch vinyl collections, so it makes for eclectic evenings with great community energy. We also feature live music regularly, covering a wide range from avant-garde instrumental outfits to blues to major-label rock bands.”

Mirroring the menu themes of Hotel St. George’s more upscale restaurant (LaVenture), the carte du jour at Bar Nadar is determined by Chef Allison Jenkins, with a focus on snacks and poolside offerings as opposed to full, sit-down meals. Guests of the hotel can remain relaxed in their chaise lounge chairs while their food and beverage orders are brought with a smile, including Tequila Lime Skirt Steak Tacos paired with a Boozy Popsicle, poolside. Featuring a regular live music schedule, DJ nights, and fun, family events, Bar Nadar at the Hotel Saint George is a welcomed addition to Marfa and a great place to add to your West Texas bucket list!
