Recently, Leonardo Frigo was featured on Bored Panda for his intricate paintings on violins, and even if you don’t play the violin, you’ll find that his work suddenly makes you feel like taking up lessons. “I illustrate biographies and stories on musical instruments such as violins and cellos. My work incorporates symbols, pattern and embedded text which allows the audience to engage with the instruments in a unique way,” he explains.

On his website, interested buyers can see that Frigo also paints violin bridges (the curiously-shaped piece that fits between the f-holes of the instrument to hold and give the strings tension). Additionally, on his website, he displays his violin designs that appear as a series. Frigo has painted seven violins depicting the deadly sins (or capital vices.) The Lust, Pride, and Sloth violins have already sold, and the use of negative space on Sloth and dizzying design of Greed should lead to the violins continuing to sell quickly.
