The tiny home movement is expanding beyond our American borders, and has begun showing up on European land. This French “Tinystream” is a stunning example.

La Tiny House is a company that focuses on European-built tiny homes, and has completed around 15 designs since the company’s humble beginnings. The co-founder, Bruno Thiéry was recently interviewed by Tree Hugger, and is included in the video below.

Because France has to deal with certain weight restrictions that we don’t often see in the United States, building a tiny house comes with an additional set of challenges, such as a smaller maximum weight allowance.

Additionally, the Tinystream featured showcases a beautiful wood and aluminum exterior that pays homage the vintage Airstream trailers of the past. The double patio doors are a quaint touch, also. Listen to builder Thiéry discuss how this Tinystream was constructed and maybe you’ll be inspired, too.
