Focusing on how to spend a day in Waco, Texas, the show “Big City, Little Budget” from the Travel Channel has a great excerpt on their YouTube channel that gives you their basic tips. From visiting Waco Mammoth National Monument to the Magnolia Silos, the duo that hosts this clip learn a lot along the way, and this 3-minute-and-20-second video shows the highlights.

On the show’s Facebook page, a brief explanation on what they’re known for helps watchers understand a little more about why they need to pay attention: “Cities are expensive, but they don’t have to be. Join travel pro Oneika Raymond as she shows you how to live large for very little cash in some of the most expensive cities in the United States” (including a number of vicinities across the U.S.). Waco was featured in season 3 of the series, along with other Texas cities such as Galveston and Houston.

The short-but-sweet version of their show on the Travel Channel’s YouTube channel captures a wonderful dog-friendly restaurant for those of you who travel with your furry friends. It also focuses on downtown Waco’s amazing shopping. Mary Street Market, The Findery, and Savage Finds are all key highlights. They cap it off with a tour and tasting at Balcones Distillery, which uses locally-sourced ingredients. It looks like a great way to spend a day in Waco that won’t break the bank, and we’re taking notes!
