Bluebonnet Bloom Status Update: Progress Looks Promising, but Don’t Pack Up the Kids and Cameras Just Yet

By  |

We drove Farm to Market Road 1431 from I-35 to Kingsland. While there were many good patches along the way, the roadsides still have some filling in to do. We hiked the decommissioned railroad tracks, and they looked very promising with many small rosettes. We then drove Highway 29 from Llano to Georgetown. It’s probably going to be at least two weeks before this area is truly picture ready.

Give it another week, then it should be time to start heading out to see what the season has in store.

It is our opinion that we are in for an average to an above average wildflower season across the Hill Country. Stay tuned for more updates. If you have seen any good displays, please share in the comments on our Facebook page.
