Showcasing the importance of being able to celebrate the Brazilian culture and folklore while living in the Lone Star State, event organizers will bring in a variety of presenters, musicians, singers, and vendors from Texas, in addition to singers and groups from other states. Festival organizers continue to promote the state of Texas and work hard to show how the Brazilian community has been able to incorporate itself within our diverse state. That diversity works well for families, who are encouraged to bring their children to celebrate as well, with a number of games for those of all ages. Even KnockerballHTX.com will be there! These inflatable spheres are fun contraptions designed to help users perfect rolls and flips in an almost gravity-defying manner, without stressing the user’s body. The Brazilian Food & Music Festival offers family-fun in a carnival-type atmosphere.

Featuring Samba and Brazilian Rock genres, among others, the festival fills March 30 with the wonderful sounds of celebration. There will also be displays by a premium Capoeira team! Capoeira is a type of Brazilian martial art and dance form that was created by slaves to settle their problems without slave masters knowing that they were fighting. Performed by two people at a time, it combines elements of fight, dance, acrobatics, and folklore into an elegant and almost mesmerizing art. Similar to Jiujitsu, those who have experienced it have often said it builds physical strength and flexibility and improves self-confidence, concentration, and courage.

In addition to the food and festivities, NonProfitPrints in Sugar Land is donating to the 6th annual Brazilian Food & Music Festival. They are a printing company that focuses on saving money while they work to save the community. They discount their prices to all small businesses and also donate a percentage of their profit margin to other local charities, benefitting everyone. Likewise, the Sugar Land 5890 Rotary Club is recognized by event organizers for the assistance they’ve given to the local community and their support of those who plan and attend this unique event. So, if you’re interested in being a positive change to your community, event organizers invite you to visit any of the Rotary Clubs online to get involved. Plan for a day of fun, food, folklore, and festivity at the upcoming Brazilian Food & Music Festival in Sugar Land on March 30. Ticket pricing ranges from $14.86 to $97 on the festival’s Eventbrite listing, however, if you use promo code “hillcountry” organizers will give you 30% off your purchase price! FAQs and packages, including parking, family and group rates, and VIP passes can all be found online at the link above. Warm up your soul in the heart of this festival, celebrating the dance, music, vibrant colors, and flavors of a culture that has found a home in the Lone Star State.
