Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. May Open Up a Location in San Antonio
Though a formal announcement hasn’t been made, MySA.com and KENS 5 report that it looks like a new location of the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. will be opening up in San Antonio. According to the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. website, there are currently 43 locations across the globe, but only two are in Texas. These are located in Galveston and Kemah.
MySA.com and KENS 5 write that several job postings for the (possible) new Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. popped up on Indeed this month, including one for a general manager and a few for servers and retail workers (since these restaurants have a small store attached with branded T-shirts). Logically, this would mean that Landry’s is opening up a San Antonio location.
A travel website called WhereTraveler.com already has an address for the new restaurant at 406 Navarro Street. Though there doesn’t seem to be any confirmation of this address elsewhere, MySA.com speculates that it could be correct since “…the River Walk location is nestled among two other Landry’s properties.”
The first Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. opened up in California in 1996, a couple of years after the film “Forest Gump” made the name famous. They’re best known for their shrimp (of course) and margaritas that are hand-shaken tableside.
