On June 10, 2016, at 4:20 a.m., three vehicles in the Council Creek area of Burnet County were burglarized. From the vehicles, the burglar took a five inch TomTom GPS device, a seven inch Magellan GPS device, and a Charter Arms .38 Special five shot revolver and its holster. Hill Country Area Crime Stoppers, the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office, and the Heart of Texas Auto Theft Task Force are all looking to citizens for assistance in identifying the burglar. Any tips would be appreciated.

Fortunately, the burglar was caught on a home security video, giving us an accurate description. Hopefully, someone out there will be able to help identify him. He is is a white male, approximately 20 years-old, was wearing a baseball cap, and a bandana to cover his face. He was wearing a short sleeve shirt, cargo shorts, and tennis shoes. The burglar also has several tattoos. He has a large tattoo on his left arm and on the top of his left hand, a large tattoo on his right calf, and possibly one on his left calf.

As always, be sure to lock your car doors, keep your valuables with you whenever possible, and bring them indoors with you at night.
