Can You Guess Why This Photo of Texas Police Officers is Going Viral?

Officer Brittany Beard Hilton took to Facebook to post a photo of her in uniform with another officer. The post went viral on social media for an unexpected reason.

At first glance, one wouldn’t expect a surprising twist to arise from this fairly mundane photo of Officer Hilton and…Officer Hilton. In a police squad car, Brittany is sitting next to her husband Steven, also a Texas police officer.

She and Steven are proudly raising four daughters while also serving in the police force. Her post was written on Thanksgiving Day, a holiday which she and Steven both chose to work to serve the public instead of spending their time at home.

In light of the criticism of police over the past year, Brittany posted this photo specifically to raise awareness that there are good people with good intentions and values working in the force. She never expected her photo to go viral, but it did.

In the wake of social media latching onto her post, she’s received multiple online threats just for her occupation. However, she’s staying positive and continues to pray for them, while her husband Steven accepts the criticism, saying that bad experiences with police are far too common, according to Little Things.
