If you live in the Everhart and Wooldridge area of Corpus Christi, you’re expected to get into the holiday spirit quickly after Thanksgiving, and luckily, the locals of “Candy Cane Lane” enjoy their yearly tradition. “I do love it, I love when you get everything up and when everyone else gets theirs up because I enjoy it I love to sit outside and watch the people,” Audrey Soltis told KIII News as she and her two grandsons were spotted putting up an array of Christmas lights on her house.

The news states that thousands of people drive around Gayle Drive and the surrounding four streets in Corpus Christi to see the beautiful twinkling light displays. Not only do neighbors put up their own sweet displays, they also have massive candy canes lining the street that are brought in on a big trailer (see the video uploaded by THESKIPPARTY below).

You can also see rave reviews of the tradition. “Our family was so blessed by driving around and looking at the lights at Candy Cane Lane. It was our first time to ever do this we are from Woodsboro and we absolutely loved it. What joy it brings to the heart of people. Thank you all who decorate their houses and help out the community,” DeAnne Riemenschneider Jochetz wrote last year.
