Sunday, October 9. 2016: “Texas-Style MusicFest”

From 10:30 a.m. – noon, at Gruene Hall, is a Gospel Brunch with a Texas Twist. From 1–6 p.m., on The Grapevine Grounds, enjoy over 50 specialty beers, many Texas wines, and haute foods, as well as crafts at the vendor market. Live music for this event is scheduled at The Grapevine, as follows:

1-2:10 p.m. – Emily Gimble Band

2:40-4:15 p.m. – Mike & The Moonpies

4:30-6 p.m. – Walt Wilkins & The Mystiqueros

A separate event is scheduled at Gruene Hall – 8 full hours of live Texas tunes from artists such as Stoney LaRue, Dirty River Boys, Seth James Band, Bart Crow, Flatland Cavalry, and many more (lineup subject to change). Tickets to this event also include beer and wine tasting on The Grapevine Grounds.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the United Way of Comal County. At the first Gruene Wine & Music Festival, $450 was raised for the United Way. Both the event and the charitable contributions have grown tremendously over the years, with a record high of $159,153.65 being raised at last year’s event. Hopefully, this year’s event can raise even more.

With the popularity of this event, it is suggested that you get tickets as early as possible. You can go to www.gruenemusicandwinefest.org for information on ticket sales as well as specifics on vendors, participants, and sponsors for the event.
