Using its outside marquee, a Mobile, AL, Chick-fil-A has found itself at the center of a friendly feud with its neighboring Moe’s Original Bar B Que. Their franchise announced its new Smokehouse BBQ Sandwich on the outdoor signage, and upon seeing that, Moe’s shot back using its own street signage to show mock hurt feelings. Remind you of anything that took place in Texas?

Writing, “I thought we were friends,” Moe’s turned the screws a little tighter by also pointing out that they were “Open Sundays.” Reading the message loud and clear, Chick-fil-A responded, and thus ensued a back-and-forth signage battle that’s been going on for weeks. Chick-fil-A tried to jokingly apologize and make amends by posting, “Moe’s we miss you!” only to be met with a response from Moe’s that they had moved on with Diamonds (a local gentleman’s club) but further added that it would be their “pleasure” if the two could patch things up and be friends again.

This truce didn’t last long, however, when Chick-fil-A asked Moe’s for the recipe to their secret white barbecue sauce. Moe’s shut them down quick with, “Shyeah, we’ll send it over when pigs fly.” That’s when Diamonds got into the midst of things, using their signing to say, “…let her go Moe.” Social media fans have been having a heyday in the crossfire. The sign collection posted on Moe’s Facebook page has been shared more than 5,000 times, and liked just about as much, with one female follower saying she loved it so much she was going to Moe’s on a Monday, Chick-Fil-A on a Wednesday, and she wasn’t exactly sure how she would show her appreciation to Diamond’s!
