Those who live in the Longview area should take note that the Christmas Balloon Glow is back on December 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center. According to the Longview News-Journal, Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be attending this free event that’s open to the public, and the iconic Christmas duo will be bringing along some presents for the kids. And of course, the Clauses will also be happy to pose for priceless photos.

On the Christmas Balloon Glow event page on Facebook, they write that the occasion is put on by the some of the same balloon crew that participates in the Great Texas Balloon Race, though this Christmas event isn’t associated with the GTBR. “Thank you Dr. Bussey and local pilots for making this happen! Merry Christmas! And remember, everything to do with hot air balloons is ‘weather permitting’ so pray for clear skies and no wind!” the page reads.

So far, 127 people have marked themselves as “going” while another 1.3 thousand are “interested,” so be sure to get there on time to get a good spot to take photos of the glowing balloons against the cold night sky.
