Renew Your Holiday Spirit in Boerne

By  |

With Christmas just a little more than a week away, the holiday spirit can be a little tough to hold on to. Luckily the Hill Country is bursting at the seams with Christmas cheer. If you are feeling just a little bit grinchy, maybe a weekend in Boerne is just what Santa ordered. Here are just a few ways Boerne is helping keep the season festive this upcoming weekend.

1. Carol Along In A Cave

Celebrate the upcoming Winter Solstice by attending this unique holiday event. Flickering candlelight illuminates the stalactites and stalagmites of Cave Without a Name while Celebration Circle performs a new spin on traditional holiday carols. In addition to familiar holiday tunes, you will hear original works brought to life on a mixture of ancient and modern instruments. The concert is Saturday, December 17th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

2. Donate at Christmas In The Park

‘Tis the season of giving and attending the 2nd Annual Christmas In The Park is a great way to give. Bring an unopened and unwrapped toy donation for Toys for Tots to enter the event held at The Roundup Outdoor Music Venue. Enjoy artisan vendors, live music and performances, food trucks, a lighting ceremony, and pictures with Santa! Christmas In The Park is this Saturday, December 17th, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

3. Visit Christmas Town

The magic of Christmas can easily get lost in the mayhem of the holiday season. Start a new family tradition and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas in Christmas Town. Walk through Bethlehem and quietly reflect the night of Christ’s birth. Listen to The Christmas Story while sipping hot cocoa and sing along with timeless carols. Enjoy a hayride and venture into the Gingerbread Forest. Make meaningful Christmas memories this Saturday, December 17th from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. at Vanguard Campus located between Boerne and Comfort.

4. Shop The Cowboy Christmas Market
