National Coffee Day is September 29: Look Out for These Freebies

By  |

You might be surprised to know that September 29 is National Coffee Day. Though it may seem like a silly holiday, it’s actually worth celebrating once you read where you can find free cups of joe throughout the United States!

USA Today reports that many of the major chains known for their coffee drinks are getting into the spirit of National Coffee Day. If you happened to partake in the free offerings last year, you’ll notice many of the same brand names this year, except for 7-Eleven. “The convenience store chain had planned to give members of its 7Rewards program a weekend of free coffee but canceled the promotion,” the news writes.

This year, Cinnabon is offering free 12-ounce coffees, Krispy Kreme has free iced or hot coffees through the weekend, and Dunkin Donuts is offering a free medium coffee with the purchase of a medium or a larger coffee. Also if you take a Lyft in Austin or Dallas, you can get a free High Brew Cold Brew Coffee during your ride!

Delish.com writes that Starbucks is taking a different angle on National Coffee Day. “According to a release on the coffee chain’s website, instead of doling out free coffee, Starbucks will be shining a light on their ethically sourced coffee, letting customers know that buying coffee from the brand means supporting farmers,” they explain.
