Start 2018 off with right – with a warm belly and a caffeine rush! MySA.com writes that 2018 San Antonio Coffee Festival will take place on Saturday, January 6 at La Villita from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As it says on the festival’s website, vendors and visitors will be “celebrating the art of coffee” with “beans from all over the world, locally roasted, artfully brewed.”

Among the vendors will be Airborne Beans, a newbie to the coffee scene from Helotes, Texas. Randy Pike, Airborne Beans’ owner and head roaster, told MySA.com about his new business. “This will be our coming out party. I’m a former paratrooper, and I’d bring over all my Army buddies and we’d all sit around and test the blends and do scorecards to see what works best. We’re looking forward to getting out there,” he said.

The 2018 San Antonio Coffee Festival will bring together over 40 brews for coffee fans to try from 15 vendors. Visitors will also hear local music acts and dig into food from local food trucks to cut down on the caffeine jitters. Admission to the festival is free, but a coffee tasting flight can be purchased in advance on Eventbrite for $5.
