During hurricane season, plans can be unpredictable for the coast. According to KHOU, Coldplay, who were slated to play at NRG Stadium on Friday, August 25th, told fans they were moving forward with their concert until noon the day of the show.

Hurricane Harvey is on his way and gaining strength, leading many Houstonians and those from the surrounding area to evacuate or hunker down with supplies. Glancing at Coldplay’s Instagram account, one can see that fans were worried about the show continuing on. “We ‘might’ be able to get there but when the #BestNightOfOurLives end, we WILL not be able to get back to our homes,” @teambnjj wrote. “This is ridiculous, to drive to Houston I have to leave right now but don’t want to leave and have to turn around three hours into my drive. Businesses are closed, school is canceled Monday, Houston is not a good place to travel to this weekend. Hate that I will feel pressured to put myself into danger so I don’t lose money,” @achifici echoed.

Now, fans seem to be relieved that the show will get a reschedule date/refunding options.

Another major concert featuring Lady Antebellum was planned for Sunday, August 27th at the Woodlands Pavilion, but that show has also been canceled. Fans will receive refunds.
