Conan O’Brien Messes with Texas, But Does Texas Win?

In this clip from Conan O’Brien’s late-night show Conan, he pits Texas against its arch enemies: California, Florida, Alaska, and a surprise contender.

While we Texans are proud of our state, it’s only fair to recognize that people from other states are just as proud of their hometowns, too. That’s what makes our country so great. We have so much culture and regional favorites crammed into the Lower 48 alone.

If you’re ready for a lighthearted take on our Lone Star motto, Don’t Mess with Texas, then this video is for you. Especially for us Hill Country denizens who feel one way about California or another, it might ring a little truer than we may care to admit.

We can’t spoil the ending if Texas really does come out on top, but this may inspire you to start your own state’s battle between you and your out-of-town friends.

We’re not sure who exactly is playing Texas, but they really do make us proud! Someone get that person a pack of Shiner Bock, some delicious BBQ, and set him up with a boat ride onto Lake Travis this summer. He deserves the full Lone Star treatment.
