The Crayola Experience plans to open a forth location in Plano, Texas due to the “family friendly” environment of the DFW area. Fox 4 News quotes Smith Holland, the president and CEO of Crayola, “Crayola Experience is more than just an attraction. It’s a place where families come together to create, play and make memories that will last a lifetime. When we visited Plano, we saw a friendly, growing, family-oriented community, and we can’t wait to be a dynamic and colorful part of it.”

Those who enter the 60,000 square foot building in Shops at Willow Bend will be treated to a live show featuring cascading wax forming Crayons before your eyes, a way to make a personalized coloring book page, and wrap your own Crayons. Even though the attraction is clearly geared toward a target audience of children, it looks like it will be fun for adults who feel nostalgic every time they open a box of Crayons and get a whiff of that instantly recognizable waxy smell.

According to their already up-and-running Facebook page, Crayola Experience Plano will open to the public in the spring of 2018. They plan to hire 200 employees.
