Dennis Quaid Coming to Bellaire to Celebrate Veterans

Fellow Texan Dennis Quaid and his band The Sharks will be in Bellaire, Texas on November 11 for a fundraiser concert in support of the Bellaire Brave, and celebrating the nation’s veterans. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Quaid had previously postponed the event which was originally scheduled to take place on October 21.

The Bellaire Block Party will welcome their hometown boy who is from Bellaire. “Patrons for Bellaire Parks, the City of Bellaire along with the Bellaire Business Association would like to announce a community-wide Harvey relief concert headlined by hometown hero Dennis Quaid with his band The Sharks!”

According to Texas Bellaire, the musical fundraiser will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017, from 1-5 p.m. on the Great Lawn at Bellaire Town Square. The concert benefits the Bellaire Brave, a fund that was created to help city employees that were personally impacted by Hurricane Harvey, shares its website. This video, shared by the YouTube channel for Space City Shows 2, shows off Quaid and his band’s enormous talent.

“Mr. Quaid will begin with a tour through Bellaire at 1:00 pm traveling down Newcastle with a stop at the Nature Discovery Center’s Annual Pumpkin Patch followed by a stop at Horn Field/Elementary school and will circle down Maple St. and then back to the Bellaire Town Square,” shares its page.

As residents and fans wait for the band to take the stage they can look forward to enjoying live music by the Big “Al” Bettis Band and great food. “In remembering his roots, Mr. Quaid’s concert will help our city on the journey to rise above the floodwaters of Harvey and celebrate the spirit of patriotism, community, and resilience for which we are known,” shared The Buzz Magazines.

Dennis Quaid and the Sharks was formed in 2000 and have been performing around the globe in front of record-sized crowds, receiving rave reviews. Quaid portrayed Jerry Lee Lewis in a stellar role in the 1989 film “Great Balls of Fire.”
