Disney Cruise Line is Coming to Galveston in 2017
A little bit of Disney magic is headed to Galveston next year.
Disney Cruise Line has announced plans to begin sailing out of the Port of Galveston beginning in fall 2017. The Disney Wonder will set sail from Galveston, Texas to the Caribbean and the Bahamas for a seven-day cruise. Those who embark on a Caribbean trip will be able to visit Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Falmouth, Jamaica, while the Bahama-based cruise will visit Key West, Nassau, and Disney’s private island Castaway Cay.
If you’re interested in setting sail on one of these all-inclusive cruises, you might want to act fast. Reservations are already available for the 2017 season, and tend to sell out far in advance. Prices range from $2,000 to over $16,000 for the VIP Disney treatment.
Although the cruises are designed to be enjoyed by all ages, the Disney Wonder features entertainment, dining, and shopping opportunities that feature many of the company’s most famous characters.
Disney Cruise Line also plans to launch new cruises leaving from New York and San Diego, which will join their already established ports in Port Canaveral and Miami, FL. The company also has an array of ports located in destinations across the globe, including Spain, England, Denmark, and Puerto Rico.
