Fans of the 2013 Disney smash hit “Frozen” will be happy to know that the film will come to life on the stage in a musical extravaganza. In a video released by Disney on Broadway, you can get a sneak peek at what’s brewing for the major production. The president and producer of Disney’s theatrical productions, Thomas Schumacher, says that when he first saw a screener of “Frozen,” he already could tell it would make “a perfect Broadway musical,” and now his vision is closer to coming true.

“Frozen” has already been a successful stage show at the California Adventure Park in Los Angeles where the cartoon characters come to life in an hour-long version of the movie complete with songs and spot-on costumes. But, the Broadway version will be a full-length spectacular that will give the characters depth in a way that satisfies older and younger audiences.

The show has upcoming pre-Broadway performances in Denver at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts from August 17th – October 1st. Then, it will move on to New York City to hit Broadway in Spring 2018 at the St. James Theatre. Sign up here to receive news about when tickets go on sale.
