“Please spread the word! Zane Parker was LOST on 12/24/17 in Dallas, TX 75231 near Near Merriman Pkwy & Topsfield Dr,” a heartbreaking post on “Dallas, Tx – Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets” reads. The Facebook post was made on Christmas Day since Zane, an adorable black Shihtzu, was stolen from his own home on Christmas Eve. As Danny Staine and several other people wrote in the post’s comments, “Stealing a furry family member is lowest of the low,” and everyone is hoping for Zane’s safe return.

WFAA reports that Bonnie and Stuart Parker were victims of a robbery while they were away at a Christmas party in their neighborhood. Someone kicked their door down and took homemade jewelry, presents under the tree, TVs, a laptop, and even 8-month-old Zane. The stolen property reaches a monetary value of $10,000, but to the Parkers, Zane was priceless. “He was one of those dogs who would get up on your neck, and I have a beard so he would nip at my beard,” Stuart told the news. “I loved him…I can get another laptop, that’s nothing. But don’t mess with my family…and he’s family.”
