The DoSeum and the San Antonio Zoo are holding a “member swap” event this month. The offer allows members of either the DoSeum or the zoo to visit the other attractions at no cost. KSAT explains that additionally, “DoSeum members will receive a 10 percent discount on food and merchandise at the San Antonio Zoo, and Zoo members will receive a 15 percent discount on merchandise at the DoSeum.”

Visitors will be delighted to know that the San Antonio Zoo recently welcomed a new addition to their family – a two-year-old, 12,000-pound hippo from Albuquerque. (Though the Zoo writes on Facebook that he will need some time to adjust before he enters the public habitat.) The Zoo’s coral reef in the aquarium is also progressing well.

The DoSeum, which is located in a three-story contemporary building on Broadway, is an exciting children’s museum where kids can get hands-on with light and sound producing objects in the Sensations Studio or explore places like Little Town that even has its own miniature H-E-B. (More attractions can be seen here on their website.)

“The DoSeum is excited for the opportunity to expand the impact of our joyful educational initiatives and to collaborate with such a historic cultural institution like the San Antonio Zoo. We hope this is only the beginning of many partnerships across the Broadway Cultural Corridor,” CEO of the DoSeum Julie Huls told KSAT.
