Krispy Kreme is celebrating their 80th anniversary with a deal meant to satisfy any customer’s sweet tooth. After purchasing a dozen donuts at the regular price of around $8-9, customers can buy another dozen glazed donuts for only 80 cents!

KSAT writes that Krispy Kreme “was founded in 1937 by Vernon Rudolph and Ishmael Armstrong in Nashville, Tennessee,” and officially sold their first donut on July 14. Obviously, they need to celebrate their incredible longevity!

They created a Facebook event for the anniversary offer, just in case their fans need a little reminder to stop by on Friday. They also request that customers “show how you celebrate Krispy Kreme’s #OriginalGlazed on July 14 by posting a photo with the Original Glazed doughnut and tagging Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.”

In addition to offering their delicious donuts for a fraction of their regular price, the company also set up a fun promotion in Times Square today. None other than Shaquille O’Neal is serving up donuts at a pop-up location across from “Good Morning America” to help celebrate the big 8-0. Timeout New York writes that Shaq “actually owns his own Krispy Kreme store in Atlanta and is a self-proclaimed member of the Krispy Kreme family.”
