Alamo Drafthouse Locations Giving Away Free Movie Tickets to Teachers Each Tuesday
It’s time for teachers to get a little break after making it through another school year full of lesson plans, grading and testing. KSAT reports that the Alamo Drafthouse is tipping their hat to educators by offering one free movie ticket each Tuesday from June 13th to August 22nd for Teacher Appreciation Tuesdays. The Drafthouses in San Antonio, Laredo, New Braunfels, and Corpus Christi are participating.
On the Alamo Drafthouse San Antonio Facebook page, they explain that the offer “does not include DISNEY titles and/or special engagements. Must present valid picture ID with proof of employment. One admission per teacher and one ticket per person per day. Restrictions may apply and offer maybe refused at any time due to studio restrictions.” When it comes to regular, valid movie showings, teachers can visit the box office to pick up their well-deserved free ticket. A pay stub and a regular photo ID, school badge, or whatever one usually uses to prove employment will suffice.
“If you are employed by the district and help educate kids, you qualify. Just bring proof,” they write. Janitors and school nurses can get in on the fun, too. “That is why I am a very loyal customer. Thank y’all!!!” Eric Rodriguez writes.
