Drive-Thru Barbecue Available at New San Antonio HEB

True Texas BBQ is located within HEB stores in eight different locations across the state. (See the list here.) Normally, Texans need to come inside of the grocery store to pick up their dinner or “party pack,” but KSAT reports that newest True Texas BBQ at “Bulverde Marketplace on the corner of Loop 1604 and Bulverde Road” will break the mold and offer a drive-thru. It’s a first for HEB.

“Another reason to love HEB! Came here twice in one week because it was that good! Not to mention convenient since you can get groceries right after eating. I tried the bbq baked potato with chopped brisket and the Cubano sandwich. They use a Texas sized potato and top it with cheese, sour cream, and plenty of brisket. They don’t skimp on the meat!” Robert G. wrote on Yelp about his local True Texas BBQ location.

“Convenient” is truly the key word. Who wouldn’t want to breeze past HEB and get a delicious dinner without even having to find a parking spot? KSAT mentions that the new drive through will also have breakfast tacos for sale in the mornings from 6 – 11 a.m. Hopefully, this will just be the first in a long line of HEB drive-thru options!
