After a crazy busy weekend in the San Antonio area this past weekend, with the 36th Annual Tejano Awards Music Fan Fair, the Big League baseball games, the epic win for the Spurs against the Golden State Warriors, and the spring breakers touring the city, San Antonio is gearing up for upcoming Easter festivities. (If you wonder if this city ever rests, probably not!)

Start packing your tent and get ready to camp at one of San Antonio’s city parks for Easter weekend. As in years past, San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department has announced the lift of curfew on Easter weekend in certain San Antonio Parks. You can start setting up camp at 11 p.m. on Thursday March 24, 2016 and enjoy until Sunday March 27, 2016 at 11 p.m. (Easter Sunday).

Easter is a time to enjoy lots of quality fun family time hiking, fishing, playing games, egg hunting, eating great food, enjoying the beautiful south Texas weather, and don’t forget bike riding! Brackenridge Park, one of the 10 parks who participate in the Easter camping activities, also is in close proximity to the San Antonio Zoo, Japanese Tea Gardens, and the train ride which tours around the zoo area.
