After some back and forth which has become standard in pandemic times, it was decided that the Kerrville Folk Festival could happen as a virtual event in 2020. Enjoy the last weekend on October 17th & 18th and support the longest continuously running music festival in North America. Busy this weekend? Visit their website and bid on the ongoing auction of one to five items per week such as art, jewelry, vacation stays, etc. through the end of 2020. All the proceeds go to supporting the KFF Foundation’s ability to present in the future.

Consistent fans will be happy to know the 2020 Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Winners will be playing on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Central, KFF Zoom Campfires will be linked on the website and Facebook page, and the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition is a go! New fans have a unique opportunity to experience this incredible event for free.

Per Mary Muse, Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation Executive Director, the virtual festival is the rescheduled 49th Kerrville Folk Festival, traditionally held in May and June. She is deeply grateful for how the festival community has responded. Muse said that seventy-five percent of advance purchases were converted to memberships and donations, and many of the artists offered to donate their performances.

Evening Concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. Central. Saturday’s lineup includes David Wilcox, Walt & Tina Wilkins, Trout Fishing in America, and Texicana Mamas. Sunday’s lineup includes Possessed By Paul James, Vance Gilbert, Elizabeth Wills, and Peter Rowan. The best part? All performances are online and FREE! Watch on Facebook, YouTube Channel: Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation Channel, and on the website.
