Austin’s Euphoria Music and Camping Festival is offering marriage ceremonies this year for the first time. Couples can say “I do” on the festival grounds next month in their own private area complete with space for preparation, spacious seating for guests, and a day-of coordinator.

“Over the years we have received a bunch of requests to have small ceremonies or to assist with an engagement,” Festival Founder Mitch Morales said. “So the interest has been there for a while. When we finally opened this (option for weddings) up to our Euphoria family, the response was immediate. Even people who were not looking to get married themselves were tagging friends looking for something special.”

This year’s Euphoria Fest is April 6 – 9. Don’t worry, if you just got engaged and love this idea, but need a little bit more time before your big day, the opportunity will almost certainly be available again next year, Morales said.

Euphoria has teamed up with other local businesses to provide a complete experience, including hair and makeup, event photography, and a reception featuring sweets and a champagne toast. Couples can even upgrade to a glamping package and stay in a decked-out honeymoon suite.

If you’re wildly in love with your significant other and the Austin music scene, you can fill out a form online. The wedding package price for selected couples starts at an affordable $250.

“Honestly, there is not set criteria we go by to make these decisions,” Morales said of how they will choose from the couples interested in the wedding package. “We want to know, understand and appreciate the couple’s story. We take it seriously and so should the people making the commitment.”

Morales said Euphoria Fest exudes a feeling of community and consecutiveness, and that it was natural to include weddings as part of this year’s festivities.

“We have always wanted to include it with Euphoria,” Morales said. “But it is a special moment in these people’s lives, so if we were going to offer this, it had to be done right. Asking my girlfriend to marry me during the Above and Beyond set – the final set of Euphoria 2016 – was ultimately the catalyst to make that happen. So many people meet here, reconnect here and create lifelong memories during Euphoria. Getting married in the place where that relationship started or that special memory was made… I can’t think of a better place.”
