Deborah Grimshaw Skouson experienced the kindness of strangers after she posted on her Facebook page that her daughter Cami, who has autism, loves a particular shirt. In fact, Cami loves her cute pink shirt with a floral pattern so much that she wore it out.

Skouson wrote, “For the past 4-5 years, she has been fixated on THIS shirt. She got her first one in kindergarten 5 years ago, and we have found 4 more since then, mostly on eBay. Her current one is almost unwearable, and eBay has gone dry.”

She hoped that through the social network grapevine she would find a way to buy a few more shirts, but the article of clothing was sold around 2011-2012.

A popular Facebook page called Love What Matters re-posted Skouson’s plea, and people didn’t disappoint. Cami would receive plenty of the pretty pink shirts!

Skouson replied with a wonderful update. “At last count, we are at 78 shirts, and I’ve had many offer to make her teddy bears, pillows, blankets, and other keepsakes out of the extras. These are all total strangers. People are inherently good and kind, and I’m glad I’ve been able to be a recipient of that kindness. May God bless you all!”
