This cocktail is simple to make and amazing to consume. Simply heat milk and chunks of dark chocolate in a saucepan, when they have melted all together, add in red wine and serve piping hot in your favorite mug for a toasty way to get toasted.

Bring your pumpkin spice game beyond basic with this boozy Pumpkin Spice Martini. The Kitchen is My Playground brings fall’s favorite spice right into evening with this tasty recipe:

Ingredients per Martini

  • 2 T. 100% pure pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 oz. simple syrup*
  • 2 oz. vanilla vodka
  • 2 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream liquor
  • 1/8 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add pumpkin puree, simple syrup, vodka, Bailey’s, and pumpkin pie spice; shake for about 30 seconds.
  2. Pour shaken mixture through a strainer into a martini or cocktail glass. Sprinkle with additional pumpkin pie spice and garnish with a cinnamon stick, if desired.

* To make simple syrup, place equal parts water and granulated sugar in a saucepan {I usually do 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar}.  Heat over medium heat, stirring, until sugar is completely dissolved.  Cool.

NOTE ~ For sugar & spice rims on your glasses, combine a bit of granulated sugar and pumpkin pie spice in a shallow dish. Use your fingertip dipped in water to wet the rim of each glass, all the way around. Dip each rim into the sugar and spice mixture to coat. Set aside.
