Thanks to our friends at Angel Fire Resort in northern New Mexico, our company’s owner and his family were invited to enjoy an amazing family ski weekend this winter! The resort has raised the bar for vacation destinations for families near and far, and for skiing, it’s the winter playground for many of us from Texas! The four-season resort and surrounding property is a skiing and snowboarding experience that is unsurpassed. This winter, they hosted Mitch and Meg, along with their kids, on an awesome family trip to this exciting winter getaway.

Creating the definitive winter vacation for families or sports enthusiasts alike, Angel Fire is just over a four-hour drive from Amarillo and provides easy-to-follow directions on their website. The resort packages the perfect Rocky Mountain experience for its guests, and Mitch and Meg’s family enjoyed the full experience, complete with all the bells and whistles. Their children range in age from five years up to teenager. With something for everyone, this trip covered all the bases for this active Texas family, and then some!
The comfort and space provided in the The Lodge at Angel Fire Resort is second-to-none, which allowed for Mitch and Meg’s family to not only test the slopes at this premier resort, but also test the stay, complete with choice of hotel room or condo availability, a spacious pool and hot tub, and gourmet meals available on-site. Upon arrival, the family made the most of Angel Fire Resort, perched perfectly in a sweet spot for winter recreation. Angel Fire offers the only night skiing in the state of New Mexico, and winter guests and resort members of Angel Fire can also go tubing (which we’re pretty sure Texans invented… only we generally do so down a refreshing river in the summer!) sledding, and miles of amazing Nordic Skiing and snowshoeing trails. A ski school and ski and snowboard rentals help support your efforts if you’re unfamiliar, and the facility features dining and retail options both on-site and in town, for those looking for the full self-care package!

It was a winter wonderland for this Texas crew, and one they won’t soon forget!
