If you are between the ages of 23 and 36, you can apply online for a place at the FBI’s Diversity Agent Recruitment event taking place in Houston in January to start your potential new career as a Special Agent. ABC 13 reports that “people who apply through the DAR program will be tracked through an accelerated testing and selection process.”

After reading the introduction to the application online, it’s evident that the process will be a lengthy one. Completing the application will hopefully get you can invite to the DAR event that will act more as an information session than an initial interview. There is a link to an application for hopeful “special agents” already live. Attending the DAR event isn’t required, but it seems like the Houston session should be helpful for those who want to get a foot, or even just a toe, in the door at the FBI.

The FBI’s official website shows which skill sets the organization is looking for, and let’s potential applicants know what will be expected of them if they’re considered for a job offer. “The preliminary employment requirements include a polygraph examination; a test for illegal drug use; credit and records checks; and extensive interviews with former and current colleagues, neighbors, friends, professors, etc,” they explain.
