FiestaJAM on Lake Marble Falls is set to wow crowds again from October 20 to 22 as a three-day festival jam-packed full of live entertainment and showcasing “…the Hill Country wine region’s growing popularity,” shares its website.
Quoted on the event’s main page, John Arthur Martinez, an international touring musician had this to say about the festival: “There’s something in the water in Burnet County that creates musicians and artists in abundance. FiestaJAM co-founder Robert Linder and I wanted to create an event that shines a spotlight on this amazing talent and nurtures developing musical acts as well.”

FiestaJAM supports the Marble Falls Independent School District and Harmony School of Creative Arts music education programs. It’s an annual event full of some of the best and brightest musical genre the Texas Hill Country has to offer. Quoted on the event main page, “Marble Falls offers a wide variety of live music that appeals to both community members and visitors alike. It is a great place for young musicians to get a start; from playing local gigs to bigger events,” said Erin Burks of the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce & CVB.
Along with a star-studded lineup, you can also expect to enjoy some of the best wine and chocolate tastings the Hill Country is known for. “Wine Enthusiast magazine ranked it No. 3 on its 2014 list of the world’s top 10 wine travel destinations, ahead of Sonoma, Calif. and renowned spots in Italy, France, Argentina and Australia,” shared its website. Participating wineries include Flat Creek Estate, Spicewood Vineyards, and Fall Creek Vineyard, and local chocolatiers include Lake House Chocolate, It’s All Goode, and Chocolatte’s.

This year’s headliner is Jimmie Vaughan. The FiestaJAM Marquee Concert is Saturday, October 21, at Lakeside Park, 307 Buena Vista Dr., Marble Falls. Alongside Vaughan, you can expect a multi-talented lineup which includes the Reno Perez Band (mariachi mambo blues), award-winning Tex-Americana band john Arthur martinez & Tejas, the Brass-A-Holics (D.C. go-go and New Orleans funk), and Rex Schnelle with Next Exit & Sacred Space (pop/prog rock), as shared by its website.
The 2016 Battle of the Bands winner KATTL , based out of Bandera, Texas, plays a style of music the band calls “Heavy Leather” or “cowboy rock” and is set to perform with other artists such as Red Shahan, Dub Miller, and Shea Abshier & The Nightowlers for the FiestaJAM Kick off from 1 to 9 p.m. (with doors opening at noon) on Friday, October 20, at Lakeside Park/Pavilion, 307 Buena Vista, Marble Falls, according to the event website.
Previous acts who have performed at FiestaJAM over the last three consecutive years include such names as Joe Ely, Cory Morrow, Brady Beal, Vallejo, Wilson String Band, Zach Nytomot, Kattl, and john Arthur martinez & Tejas.
