Fitbit recently crossed over into Apple’s territory with the introduction of their new smartwatch. Though Wired explains that some people might consider the Fitbit Blaze as the company’s first smartwatch, Fitbit doesn’t feel the same way. Now, it’s clearly no match for their newest high-tech edition – the Ionic.

“It plays music, supports mobile payments, displays push notifications,” Wired writes. But it also functions as a Fitbit with a peloton heart rate monitor, sleep monitor, GPS, personal coaching, and of course, a step, mileage, and floors-climbed counter. The battery lasts roughly four days, and the watch is water resistant and can/should be worn day and night.

According to the Fitbit website, the Ionic is currently available for pre-order at $299.95. An exclusive Adidas “sports experience edition” will become available soon, as well. Those who are interested should sign up for a notification about its release.

Right now, the bulky, but powerful Fitbit Iconic comes in three colors – charcoal and gray, slate blue and burnt orange, and blue gray and silver gray. If those colors don’t thrill potential buyers, additional bands can be purchased, like a coral or blue and lime green sports band, and a midnight blue leather. “Becker and his team drew inspiration from Martian landscapes, sci-fi movies, and technical athleisure in order to give the Ionic its futuristic feel,” Wired writes.
