Southwest Airlines is known for their flight attendants who know how to crack a joke or two or even rap. This holiday season, one flight attendant, in particular, stood out for her musical talent. ABC 13 writes that at Hobby Airport in Houston on Saturday, Charlise Miles, 42, belted out a beautiful rendition of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” to those waiting on their flight. She performed an encore on Christmas Eve in Las Vegas, as well, where she brought a soldier to tears.

E! Online writes that when Miles went through a divorce in 2012, she found herself very depressed during the holidays, so she made a decision to pick up more work hours and sing to help brighten her day and others’ days around her. “My motto for my job is that I’m there to make a difference. So many people are depressed, stressed, sad…If I can be the one to make a difference in somebody’s life and make their life better when they got off [the plane] than how they were when they came on, God put me there for that reason,” she says.

Miles’ singing on Saturday was recorded by a passenger and has spread across news stations. Check it out at ABC News Go.
