Frisco Man Pays $212 Traffic Ticket in Gallons of Pennies
Brett Sanders is making national news as the man who paid a traffic ticket with 21,2000 pennies carried in five gallon buckets.
While traffic tickets are just common in Texas, Sanders decided he had enough. After receiving a ticket for going 39 in 30 miles per hour zone, he tried to fight his ticket. When that didn’t work, he decided to swallow his pride and paid the $212 fine, but not before having a bit of fun first.
In the video, he proceeds to ask his bank if he could pick up a withdrawal from his account of $212 in pennies. Carrying the five gallon buckets into the Frisco, Texas Municipal Court, he dumped them on the counter while being filmed. While some people find his antics over the top, Sanders believes that the court got what they deserved.
What’s even sillier now is that he overpaid by $7.81, as reported by KHOU, and the city owes him that money back. How much do you want to bet that they’ll hand him those pennies?
You can watch his entire experience below.
