Shopping in Georgetown is small-town Texas at its best. There are numerous centers to do major shopping such as the Wolf Ranch Center, but if you’re looking for a unique experience, go to the square.

Once there, you’ll find boutiques which cater to everyone young and old. The La Bella Casa and Gatherings are just two of the fantastic home décor shops you can explore. Southern Hippie and Brazos Market are great shops to find that “one of a kind” outfit.

While at the Square you may find that you are thirsty, so check out some of the wineries such as Grape Creek Winery and the Georgetown Winery. To fulfill your hunger after shopping and wine tasting, try the El Monumento for spectacular Mexican food as well as superb views of the San Gabriel River. For a heavier meal try Wildfire for a relaxed atmosphere and fine dining. Their location offers a view of the Georgetown Square.

One of the most interesting places to visit on the Square is the Williamson County Museum. Its location across from the county Courthouse is a history lesson for all Texans. This small piece of Georgetown is one place not to miss. The museum tells the tale of our past in an interesting and informative way. Led by dedicated Texans, volunteers and interns from Southwestern University, this makes our history come alive in the many events they host throughout the year.
