Happening Saturday, July 7, from 1 to 7 p.m., the third annual Big Scoop Ice Cream Festival is taking place in Wimberley, in the Texas Hill Country! Benefitting Camp Good Sam – Wimberley, the festival features contests and entertainment, bean bag tossing, an art exhibit, entertainment, face painting, and of course, ice cream!
This old-fashioned ice cream festival, which holds contests every hour on the hour, takes place at the Wimberley Community Center. Serving up ice cream, frozen yogurt, and even non-dairy treats, the cost for admission to the festival is $10. Children under 12 having free admission. So if you’re thinking, “Here comes the heat; how are we going to cope?” consider bringing the whole family for a sweet scoop of this wonderful treat.

Camp Good Sam Wimberley is a six-week summer day camp learning program, providing transportation, meals, and a learning program, complete with field trips and fun activities! The proceeds from the third annual Big Scoop Ice Cream Festival will go a long way toward maintaining this program and helping children in Hays County combat summer learning loss!
