Puppy with Braces is Happiest Dog on the Internet
This six-month-old Golden Retriever pup named Wesley is breaking the Internet with adorable photos of him and his puppy braces.
Wesley is a happily growing puppy whose owner, Molly Moore, works at a veterinary clinic that her dad, Jim, owns. What makes Wesley so special, however, is that pictures of his custom puppy braces have went viral.
Why does Wesley have the braces? Molly told BuzzFeed News that “once [Wesley’s] adult teeth started coming out, we noticed they were coming in wrong and he was unable to close his mouth fully.”
It seems that Wesley’s teething problem was also affecting his play habits as he couldn’t pick up his toys and eat properly as he was losing weight. So her dad, Jim Moore, who is a “specialist in veterinary dentistry” came up with the idea to create braces.
The family has caught a great deal of flak from naysayers who look down upon the idea of puppy braces, but they’re actually more common than you’d imagine. They also serve one purpose only: allow the puppy to eat and play happily and without problem.
From the looks of these pictures, Wesley doesn’t really seem to mind and is probably happy to start playing with his toys again soon!
