The Golf Club is Lee Trevino’s only Texas signature course, located in the historic Briggs Ranch and created to be friendly for the average golfer. This open course rolls through a nice Hill Country setting, is loaded with oaks, yuccas, and wildflowers, and features water on eleven holes.

The Golf Club of Texas will open its doors August 29th of 2015. The course, while maintaining its original routing, is under renovation and redesign under the direction and guidance of Course Architect Roy Bechtol.

Additionally, The Golf Club of Texas will provide premier playing surfaces using the best grasses available: L1F Zoysia Greens, Zeon Zoysia Tees, and Jamur Zoysia for the Fairways. These are the grasses the best golf courses in the world choose. Now you can play them too.

This will be the only Golf Course in the United States that is 100% Zoysia tee to green.

The practice facility has been expanded to include two putting greens in addition to our short game scoring practice area- all with real Zoysia grass and within feet of our new outdoor bar.

The goal is to provide the best golf experience in San Antonio with the best course conditions available anywhere…and at an affordable price.

The Golf Club of Texas at Briggs Ranch is an award winning centerpiece of the historic Hill Country golf scene located just twenty minutes from downtown San Antonio. The Golf Club of Texas is a 7,022 yard, par 72 course set amidst an assortment of authentic Texas wildflowers, cacti, bluebonnets, and mature mesquite trees.

This is San Antonio’s premier public golf course.
