Junction, Texas is where the North and South Llano Rivers join together to make this Hill Country town, the Land of Living Waters. The City of Junction website boasts that there is more flowing water in Kimble County and the seat of Junction, than any other county in the state. This makes for exciting times in Junction during our hot Texas summers, as well, as year-round!

1. Fun on the Water

Rivers and natural springs in Junction, Texas provide a natural playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Canoeing, kayaking, tubing, rafting and fishing and fly fishing are all popular activities at the junction of the South and North Llano Rivers. There is also a fun summer pool in town for more opportunities to cool off and have fun! This Hill Country town has plenty of options for choosing your own adventure; whether it’s a relaxing canoe trip for bird-watching, an adrenaline-filled rafting trip, or practicing your casting arc with a local fly.

2. Hunting Abounds

The opportunity for outdoor sports continues with the excellent hunting around Junction. There are several guest ranches with hunting packages for exotic, game, and trophy hunts. Deer, quail, dove, duck, turkey, and exotic species hunting is world-class.  In addition to guided hunts, there are hunting leases and day hunts available in this Hill Country town.
